South London punk newcomers Play Dead released their debut EP Skint last month via Blitzcat Records. Following the release of eagerly-received lead single ‘Shaun’ earlier this year, the band are today sharing latest single ‘Hide’
Commenting on the track, guitarist Joe Blair says:
“’Hide’ was written on a very hungover morning in late 2019. I was being asked by a few mates to come out and meet and I couldn’t be bothered. It’s about those days where you want to just stay in bed and watch shit TV.”
The EP opener is a perfect introduction to the band. The deep vocals that drip with attitude and witty lyrics that clash perfectly with the wave of overdriven chords and cymbal mashing. Three guys can make a lot of noise and do it all with a swagger that is addictive and compelling. More please lads.
