Salvation Jayne have released their new single ‘A Mouthful of Magnificent Spite‘ which is also the title track from their forthcoming album scheduled for release on 18 February 2022. The 5-piece have produced a blast of alt-rock which is as brash as it is bold. This is a thunderous emotive denouncement of those who would belittle us. The thought-provoking title is so smart and the anthemic ambition of Salvation Jayne perfectly encapsulates the response we require to overcome such over-controlling individuals. There are wonderful pauses for breath as if gathering ones thoughts, before erupting again with guitars riffs firing up as if ready to strike back. The vocals of Chess Smith (vocals/keys) are strong and full of passion, range and power. Chess is joined in Salvation Jayne by Holly Kinnear (guitar), Tor Charlesworth (drums), Dan Lucas (bass) and Erim Ahmet (keys). Together they have self-released the single and will do the same for the album to follow, and that self empowerment is a key principle of Salvation Jayne. The last minute or so of this track is a full on powerhouse of rock. It energises and revitalises, a reminder that we own our own power.

Salvation Jayne say of ‘A Mouthful of Magnificent Spite‘:
“Sometimes there is constructive criticism, which is fine. Then there are also overpowering controlling opinions that are shoved down your throat when you haven’t even asked for them. People like that exhibit this behaviour tend to thrive off of manipulating people into believing only what THEY think.”

Check out their bandcamp and facebook for more information on the band.
