‘Waiting For The Sun’ is the new single from the multi-genre, rising talent, Sanjay. After sharing two faultless remixes; a superb, soul-funk inspired rework by ViVA label head Steve Lawler, and a French house inspired re-rub by Hungarian artist, Myon, it’s now time for Sanjay share the original shine to the world.

The track gives a glimpse of Sanjay’s debut album ‘Ancestral Visions’ due this coming November, via Purple Condor records, which combines pop culture and spirituality, drawing inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Tame Impala, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Neil Young and Kanye West.

Residing in the Joshua Tree desert in California, Sanjay is still a relatively new name by all accounts, but the innovative artist has been winning fans since the release of his debut ‘Initiation’ EP in 2021. Sanjay’s guiding principle is ‘Music is Medicine’, a theme evident in his spiritual, sun-kissed sounds that have seen him headline on the Playa at the legendary Burning Man as well as tour the world with members of the Gypsy Kings.

With a lush, gorgeous vibe and brimming full of summer promise, Waiting For The Sun is track that blossoms over its 4 minutes. Sanjay’s vocals are centered and calm, letting the beauty of the track form around himself. Adding some free spirited female vocals bring a vibrant freedom lifting the track to new heights over the pulsating beat, jazzy guitar and the warm colourful synths. Music to heal indeed.
