Melbourne’s Thornhill continue to build anticipation for their forthcoming third album, Bodies, set for release on April 4 via UNFD. Following January’s announcement, the band has now shared ‘Tongues’, a dynamic new track that showcases their signature blend of melody and intensity.

Known for their innovative approach to heavy music, Thornhill have carved out a distinct identity in the Australian scene. Their 2022 album Heroine—which earned an ARIA Award nomination and debuted at #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart—solidified their reputation as one of the country’s most forward-thinking heavy acts.

The group has continued to make an impact in recent years, earning accolades including triple j’s Feature Album and numerous Best of the Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool. In 2023 and 2024, they delivered fresh material with standalone singles Viper Room and Obsession, alongside Live On Tour!, a live album documenting performances from across the globe.

Thornhill recently took the stage alongside A Day To Remember for a headline sideshow as part of Knotfest Australia. Later this month, they will offer fans an exclusive preview of Bodies with three intimate album launch shows: Melbourne’s Howler on March 27 (sold out), Brisbane’s Crowbar on March 29, and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on March 30. Limited tickets remain for Brisbane and Sydney.

Thornhill will also return to North America in April for a headline tour, joined by Avoid, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade.
