Nottingham’s Victory Lap have announced the release of their debut EP, ‘Torch Songs,’ due out July 19th. In the meantime, the band have shared a new single, ‘Sincerely Yours’ which follows on from previous single ‘Jealousy‘
Speaking ahead of their single release, frontman Tomas Ponting explained:
“This song details a man and his attempts at creating barriers to protect himself in relationships. Despite his best efforts, his romantic nature finds him falling heedlessly from partner to partner, lubricated by the yarn of a fairy-tale ending he relentlessly spins for himself.”
Featuring another fabulous video, this vintage-sounding track is finely crafted and exquisitely delivered. The stabs of guitar and sweeping strings over the steady drums and commanding vocal performance add a little spot of drama to the track. It’s hard to believe this is only the band’s second single.

With a newly announced debut UK headline tour lined up for December, the new noir infused five-piece will first be hitting the festival circuit this summer, having already ticked off slots with contemporaries including Do Nothing, L’Objectif and Blood Wizard in recent times.
