Australian singer songwriter Bel has revealed a new video to accompany her debut single, which drops this Friday, 19th August. The Melbourne 20 year old describes the track, Melancholia, as providing “an introspective depiction of what it’s like to be inside my head. Lyrically, it’s rich in raw emotion and personal truth. Our minds can make us think and feel all sorts of interesting and strange things, but it’s how we consolidate these sentiments that defines us as people.”
Its brooding, bubbling synth pop, Bel’s vocal smoothly draped over this minimal percussion and layers of synths. It’s the first single taken from her six-track debut EP of the same name, that will come out in the Australian summer i.e. towards the end of the year.
