Backseat Mafia · Backseat Mafia Takeover Mix – DJ Kid

Daniel C. Siriteanu, aka Dj Kid, was born in Eastern Europe in January 1977. He started working with music in the late ‘92 when he was lucky, as a very young person, to establish a collaboration with Contact Radio. Immediately, within just a few months, he started to collaborate as a Dj with 2 underground clubs and as a radio host with Hit Radio, as well. Continues a very strong Dj experience with both, Cocktail Club and Number1 Club, between a 1996-1999. In 2000 he moved to Florence, Italy to continue his studies.

In the present he’s a clothing designer and owns a little and very cool Boutique downtown Florence. He’s also the Italian Music Manager for Beach Radio UK. At the moment, Dj Kid has 5 shows broadcasted weekly on Beach Radio. Among Beach Radio experience, Dj Kid collaborates with so many other stations like Ibiza Live Radio, Frisky Radio, Ibiza Global Radio, New York is the Answer, Beyond Radio just to name a few. As a music producer his music is constantly added to important playlists of well known artists around the world, getting support from artists like the Grammy winner, Black Coffee. “Mr. Shelby” was included in the next Camel Records Organic Compilation. “Voices” EP is already moving fast, not to mention the collaboration with Da Africa Deep , “Who are you”, which was chosen to be no. 6 pick on Black Coffee’s playlist. The release chart continues with “We belong”, featuring Tsimo as a vocalist. 2 album releases, as well, “Soul fragments” and “Chants of the desert”. Both of the tracks on “Chants of the desert” made it to no. 1 on Beatport. Collaborations with Idd Aziz and Toshi, alongside huge remixes from Enoo Napa, Cristian Vinci, Chaleee, Sammi Ferrer and others.

Absolutely in love with the House genre, he loves to think that Afro Tech is one of the coolest and most complete House sub genres and he enjoys playing it in almost every set he creates. His distinctive sound combines beautifully melodic piano chords progressions, dreamy synths and punchy drums. His mantra “Life is a Song” describes his concept about life as being a chapter full of emotions, ready to surprise us with ups and downs, every step of the way.

A DJ/producer with releases on MoBlack and Songuara, DJ Kid’s afro-influenced sound sees him incorporate organic sounds and melodic textures, with his latest single on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music showcasing this sound palette to its fullest.

A blooming journey through cinematic soundscapes, dreamy melodies, bright keys and resonant vocals, ‘Sirens’ brings a moving production set to capture the imagination of listeners.

DJ Kid ‘Sirens’ drops via Adesso Music out now.
