Blues-Psych troubadour John J Presley has just revealed his new Albany Sessions album, out last Friday, made up from tracks recorded at home over lockdown, with is trusty guitar, and pretty much nothing else.
Recorded at home in Brighton, and recording, producing and mixing everything himself, the record is available on a beautiful translucent-red vinyl LP via Music For Heroes on 11th December.
John has kindly ‘donated’ one of the accompanying videos shot of the recording process to us as part of our ‘At Home Sessions’ series, and it’s that track On A Sunday (Reprise). Full of his bluesy riffs and his gravelled vocal, it’s a beautifully atmospheric addition to both the album and to our live sessions.
