Jesca Hoop has released new single ‘Outside Of Eden’.Taken from her new album ‘Stonechild’, ‘Outside Of Eden’ is as delicate an offering as you could hood for from Jesca Hoop. Atmospheric folk, shrouded in harmonies and close production, but with the sort of yearning melody that lives long in the memory

“true to folk as I’m able to write, not in that “old ye folk” type of way, but rather in the way that a folk song functions as a mirror of for us….in our time…and tells the tale. I see it as a feminist anthem; We big sisters encouraging our shut-in boys to love the very real, the very living, and breathing girl.”

Lyrically she says “Kids and tech are at the centre of this one. The fact that kids can and are accessing such potent material without guidance really bothers me. I feel for how they are being guided by technology. I feel for what they are missing out on compared to the wild outdoor life I lived as a child.”

‘Stonechild’ is out now and Jesca is touring throughout 2019 on the below dates:
