Peach PRC whose debut EP ‘Manic Dream Pixie‘ recently took the coveted #1 position on the ARIA National Album Chart is playing the Metro Theatre tonight as part of her sold-out Manic Dream Pixie Tour.

Peach PRC launched her TikTok page in 2019 and has since built an audience of 2 million-plus TikTok followers, generated over 130 million combined artist streams, and attracted attention from Billboard, Vogue Australia, BuzzFeed, Consequence, NME, Paper, Refinery29 and more.

Tonight the Metro is filled with a diverse crowd, representing a vibrant tapestry of identities and experiences. There is a sea of fans mainly dressed in pink, some are wearing wings and cowboy hats. As the lights dim, a wave of cheers erupts and then Peach is on stage with dazzling lights and seemingly boundless energy. Accompanying her on guitar is the supremely talented Choe Dadd.

The crowd sway and dance together with joy and enthusiasm that is infectious and which spreads throughout the Metro like wildfire. Amidst the frenzy, Peaches PRC exudes charisma and confidence and captivates everyone in the room with her presence. Dressed in a glamorous pink outfit and with angel wings, she commands the stage as she leads her adoring fans through a selection of her hits. Her performance a testament to the power of music to unite. But it also documents how TikTok with its emphasis on user-generated content, enables aspiring artists to gain visibility, develop a fan base, and ultimately propel themselves into pop stardom – a phenomenon which is disrupting the traditional music industry.
