Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers played Mary’s Underground tonight. The band came bounding onstage to the sounds of the Veronica’s ‘Untouched’. Recovering quickly from an early mishap during the first song when the guitars were not audible, the group soon had the packed crowd enthusiastically dancing along to their high-energy punk rock. Crowd favourite was a searing cover of Avril Lavigne’s ‘I Want To Be Your Girlfriend’. The four Canberra women featuring Anna Ryan on vocals, Scarlett McKahey on guitar, Neve van Boxsel on drums and Jaida Stephenson on bass had the adoring crowd begging for more. Grrls Rock!
