Salty is on a mission, and there’s no stopping her now. The Aussie up-and-comer has just dropped her debut EP, The Other Side, a collection stacked with punchy singles like ‘Cut U Off’, ‘iwannabebetter’, ‘See u in 3’, and ‘Hollywood Baby’—a slick, self-assured introduction to a future pop heavyweight in the making. To celebrate, Salty recently performed at the Wollongong North Hotel and Backseat Mafia was there to capture her performance.
Salty is already making waves far beyond Australia’s shores. August saw her getting back-to-back spins on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop with Ellie King, and by September, she was onstage in LA for We Found New Music, the tastemaker showcase that’s been an early stomping ground for Billie Eilish, Arlo Parks, Sam Fender, and The 1975, among others.
And the hype doesn’t stop there. With over 2.6 million likes on TikTok, Salty’s rapidly growing fanbase is eating up her slick, attitude-heavy pop anthems. She’s already shared the stage with local heavy-hitters like MAY-A, Thomas Headon, Budjerah, GO-JO, Carla Wehbe, and Charley.
