Jebediah’s Oiks! tour rolled on into Hobart following on from two previous Tasmanian shows at Forth and Launceston. With Australian rock royalty, Magic Dirt and Melbourne singer-songwriter, Merpire in tow, the evening promised to be a beauty……and a beauty it was!!

Merpire kicked off proceedings with her songs of vulnerability and inner truths, entertaining a slowly building crowd.

Next up were Magic Dirt, who drew from their vast catalogue of hits, as well as slotting in some newer works, revving the audience up with their unflinching rock and roll and magnetic stage presence.

Jebediah then took to the stage, and before starting, lead singer and frontman, Kevin Mitchell thanked their support acts, graciously explaining that at any other time, they may have played second fiddle to Magic Dirt.

However, this tour has been about Jebediah’s latest album offering, Oiks (their first in 13 years), so we were treated to them cranking up the volume and hitting us with everything they had from both the new album, and a long and inspiring, 30 year back-catalogue.
