On Saturday I attended the Rock and Roll Circus Festival in Sheffield. This unique music festival brought together superb live bands blended with circus style performances creating an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.

The Main stage lineup featured much anticipated headliner Self Esteem (AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor) and her fantastic supporting band. A powerful performance featuring soaring vocals and a strong stage presence left the Sheffield crowd cheering for more.

Equally as impressive were Confidence Man, a band I hadn’t seen personally before. Their stage show was electric with high energy pop music and dance routines.

Natalie Imbruglia showed why she has stood the test of time, with a set full of familiar chart hits and new material. Her performance was captivating, and the audience sang along to every word on her massive hit Torn.

Great Yarmouth based Bimini impressed with an entertaining performance and superb musicians. High energy dance / pop tunes and electric stage presence, check them out when you can.

On the BBC Introducing Stage Gia Ford played a strong set featuring her latest release Alligator. Oh Papa played a chilled out set of impressive soulful tunes. Precious Pepala headlined with strong vocals and catchy pop/soul tunes.

Sheffield’s Rock and Roll Circus Festival offered plenty of room for festival-goers to move around comfortably. The huge indoor tent that featured the main stage was UK weatherproof! Although the sun shone and the open-air setting of Don Valley Bowl allowed for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The festival organisers did an excellent job of creating a vibrant ambience with colourful decorations, food stalls, and bars.

The festival-goers themselves contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. The crowd was a mix of music lovers from all backgrounds, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

An incredible Saturday filled with outstanding music and a lively circus style big top atmosphere made the overall experience memorable, and well worth the ticket price.
