Stetsons and cowboy boots were the order of the day as global superstar Shania Twain roared into Dublin on her big steel stallion, for her worldwide ‘Queen of Me’ tour at 3Arena. As the stage time ticked, with anticipation at its highest with all eyes (and inevitably, phones) glued to the stage, she pulled off something of a surprise by appearing not on stage but in the balcony amongst the fans (see cover photo) singing ‘Wake Up You’re Dreaming’.

From there she moved to the stage, reappearing in a cloud of smoke, and from then it was hits all the way, and full throttle at that for an evening that sent the adoring crowd home happy.

American singer-songwriter Breland was the opening act on the night warming up the crowd nicely with his hybrid of country rap, R&B, gospel, and soul music.

Ian Mc Donnell

Irish based concert photographer, maybe! ever so slightly addicted to gigs. Listens mostly to alternative / goth / folk punk / punk / ska. I blame the 80s.
