BIG IMAGE are going large on the cinematic CHANEY REMIX of their euphoric indie dance banger CRAZIER. Making a bigger giant out of an already huge tune, singer George Johnson says of the remix:

“We’re massive fans of Chaney’s music, so when he reached out to remix Crazier, we knew it would be a match made in heaven. We can’t wait to hear this being played at raves across the UK in the summer. I love the way he’s totally cut up all the vocals. It sounds like something from a Trainspotting film!”

Detailing his involvement on the remix, Chaney explains:

“I loved this track as soon as I heard it. Instantly I dived into the anthemic vocals, chopping up a new Underworld-style refrain to be battered against a tough drum pattern, broken up by massive break downs and Kevin & Perry style builds. I’m looking forward to banging this out in the clubs. Excuse me Mr. & Mrs. Patterson, could I have a jam sandwich please?“

The original track, released in January, is a lyrical evaluation of dating in the modern day atop floating synths and bouncy percussion. The accompanying visuals, directed by Dora Paphides and shot at various festivals, depict the song’s narrative and the band’s ethos perfectly; vibrant, youthful and an abundance of fun.

CRAZIER is part of the band’s new EP HUMAN TOUCH IS FOREVER, due for release on 27 April. Featuring previous single Parallel Love Affair, as well as two new tracks – Something and Sleeping Alone – it’s a big milestone in the band’s career to date. Previously working under the name Ivory Wave, this will be the quartet’s first body of work as BIG IMAGE.

2021 was a very successful year for BIG IMAGE. They played the This Feeling stage at the Isle of Wight Festival and a raucous, intimate hometown show at Birmingham Sunflower Lounge to celebrate the release of their debut single. They also appeared on Scruff of The Neck TV, featuring a live session and interview with Jack Wood from Radio X, and were chosen to appear in the Scotts Menswear nationwide autumn / winter campaign alongside Sam Fender and Bru-C.

Now, with the countdown on to their debut EP, and a forthcoming appearance at Community Festival at London Finsbury Park alongside Two Door Cinema Club, BIG IMAGE keeps getting bigger and bigger.

HUMAN TOUCH IS FOREVER track list:

  • Parallel Love Affair
  • Crazier
  • Something
  • Sleeping Alone

Irish based concert photographer, maybe! ever so slightly addicted to gigs. Listens mostly to alternative / goth / folk punk / punk / ska. I blame the 80s.
