Best Friends since their freshman year alongside being Grand Cousin (singular rather than actual, you know, cousins) Henry Hall (songwriter / vocals / guitar) Robby Caplan (bass) and Evan Low (drums) have already been kicking up some interest in the local New York area, and that’s only set to continue with the release of their own self titled EP on July 8th.
From the EP the band are streaming the track Oxygen. It immediately features this almost DIY Country-RnB, stomping along with this growling guitar line, but its a vehicle really for Halls dreamy vocal that alternately soars and shimmers over the top of the song.
He may just have what it takes to follow his mother, Julia Louis-Dreyfus into an awful lot of people’s hearts. He and his freshmen friends have already captured ours here at Backseat Mafia.
