Operator is the new single from 20 year old Brighton singer-songwriter Max Pope, and is the follow up to his single Rollercoaster, that dropped earlier in the year.
Pop says of the single ” The Operator is about the fear of being controlled by an evil despot. It started as a horror fantasy, but has now become a frightening reality with the arrival of Mr Donald J Trump…The track was produced by my pals Alex Burey and Jack Gilbert.
The operator is off kilter, almost left field pop, full of fizz and energy, and with Pope’s vocal cadjoling and coaxing this harmonised melody out of the song, it makes for something unexpected and rather brilliant. Check it out, here
