As a regular resident at Fuse in both Ibiza and London – and a veteran of no less than five releases on the Fuse label, Rich NxT is a familiar figure on the Deep House, Techno scene, and he’s about to release the second release on his self-titled vinyl only imprint.
Opener ‘Sauna De Plastico’ lays down this booming bass drum, with elements and lines of percussive sound being added and allowed to morph as the track extends its reach. There are subtle twists and turns, and this repetitive bassline is posted and locked down before needle scratches signal slight shift in beat and emphasis.
Orever is harder and more insistent, with this bubbling undercurrent of a bass decorated with (once again) lines of percussion, in this case, cymbals and pads especially, as this eerie synth line joins proceedings, and promptly flowers into swells of electronic noise. Noir employs some nifty vocals cut ups which decorate a pulsating techno rhythm , before concluding track ‘Home Sweet James’ sways too and fro with this submerged bassline and rattles and shuffles on the percussive accompaniment. As it unfurls though, so it relaxes into this almost Balearic fused track.
