Ahead of heading down to SXSW, and fresh from playing a sold out show in their hometown Los Angeles, RKCB have teamed up with Atlanta producer and artist Demo Taped for a new soul/RnB infused single – Open Arms. Demo Taped himself is revving up for a US tour with Vallis Alps.
Open arms has these bubbling waves of synths, with electronic stabs, hues and shards of bassline that become more insistent as the track begins to unveil itself fully. As it does so, so little melodic fragments trip over eachother. Floating over the top of it all is the vocal, smooth but worldly, soulful but real. It makes for something rather lovely.
