In anticipation of their latest album, “Long Live Death! Down With Intelligence!”, Spanish electronic duo The Suicide Of Western Culture have released a brand new single. The track entitled ‘Amore de Madre’ encapsulates everything about the bands sound featuring brooding drones, melancholic melodies and hard hitting drums.
As the opener for the bands third album ‘Amore de Madre’ really sets the tone from the start, defining both the mood and sound for the duration of the record. Combining the intelligent use of dynamics and song strcuture from post-rock artists such as Mogwai and Explosions in the sky with 90’s style IDM, The Suicide of Western Culture manage to create a unique and musically compelling sound making them stand out amongst their peers.
The new single is also accompanied by a music video featuring the duo exploring a baron landscape in search of equipment only to be interrupted by a mysterious object in the sky. You can check out the bizarre yet intriguing video below.
The Suicide of Western Culture’s new album ‘Long Live Death! Down With Intelligence!’ is due out November 2015 on El Segell del Primavera.
