The Sheffield boys are back, narrating their lives with vibrant melodies and wistful metaphors, saturating their stories with vivid colour. ‘I Wanna Waste My Time On You’ is the first single to be taken from their upcoming record Lucky Ones, introducing us to a new chapter of their lives with a new drummer setting the beat.
The video to ‘I Wanna Waste My Time On you’ shows our Sheffield boys being doted on by an affectionate manager, doing everything he can to inspire the despondent band to achieve their potential. It’s awkward and a little bit silly, and the boys only respond when their manager finally gets on their wavelength – changing his style, as he does so – mirroring The Crookes’ proud ambition to remain true to themselves and compromising for nobody.
