News: Adelaide’s The Hard Aches unveil the anthemic single ‘Party Ghost’ on announcement of a national tour

Adelaide band the The Hard Aches have returned to the fray with the release of an anthemic single ‘Party Ghost’: a solid pulsating track that features backing vocals from Cahli Blakers of Teenage Joans. ‘Party Ghost’ is built on a solid foundation of thundering guitars and urgent vocals, laced with a delicate poignancy.

Ben David from the band explains:

It’s all about finding yourself in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar smells and unfamiliar sounds…it’s about reflecting on your own existence, and your own experiences then learning from them, and doing everything you can to do better. Most of all, it’s about trying to understand how it must feel to be an animal, moved away from your safe place, put through big changes, and unable to understand them.

‘Party Ghost’ is unashamedly laced with an antipodean flavour, and the band faced a number of barriers over the last few years along with Australia as a whole, facing bushfires, floods and of course the pandemic. This has clearly had no on the band’s creativity and they have now announced a comprehensive Australian tour to launch the single.

‘Party Ghost’ is available to stream and download today here.
