Premiere: The Gold Coast’s Pure Milk serve refreshing ‘Dreams on a Platter’: a charming low-fi gem.


Queensland’s strength in indie fare continues apace with the release of the new single by Gold Coast outfit Pure Milk. We are pleased to premiere their new video for the track ‘Dreams on a Platter’. Taking a leaf from contemporaries The Goon Sax and the long line of bands coming from the region over the years like The Go-Betweens and The Apartments, Pure Milk display a low-fi charm and vulnerability in this track – an almost naïve simplicity – that is carried by a catchy melody and a refreshing aura.

Singer Lewis Nitschinsk says of the track:

Dreams is full of self-justification, proving to yourself that you know who you are, and who you want to be. In many ways it’s the most arrogant song I’ve ever written, but also the most vulnerable.
