BABYMETAL have announced the support act for their first headline tour of Australia. Joining the Japanese metal sensations on tour will be RELIQA. Based in Sydney, RELIQA have been making inroads in the Australian progressive metal scene. The band released their EP, I’ Don’t Know What I Am’ in 2022 and also performed at the Monolith and Full Tilt Festivals. The band’s name was inspired by John Donne’s poem ‘The Relique’.
BABYMETAL need no introduction. Blending heavy metal and Japanese pop the trio have become worldwide sensations as exponents of kawaii (cute) metal music. BABYMETAL formed in 2010 and have since gone on to perform at major festivals alongside groups such as Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and the Foo Fighters. BABYMETAL have released four studio albums including the latest album ‘The Other One’ which launched earlier this year.
