Black Water County have released ”Second Guessing” featuring guest vocals from Hannah Greenwood of Creeper, the third chapter in a series of singles leading to the self-release of their
third studio album, The Only Life Worth Living, in November.

Second Guessing is the most integral single release from the album to date, and inherently different to
its predecessors – the frantic and thrilling juggernaut of The Only Life Worth Living, and the tortured
and frenetic nature of the banjo-led Cruel State Of Mind.
It features dual vocals from Shan of Black Water County and Hannah Greenwood of Creeper, an unusual
occurrence in itself to feature two female vocalists on a rock ballad complimented by cello, violin, viola
and piano, but even more so when their vocals intertwine in a hauntingly beautiful ballad that builds
into a resounding and momentous crescendo.

“Second Guessing is about closure between two people,” explain the band, “in which one leaves with
the words of the other echoing in their head, “Don’t wait up for me, I don’t want to hear why you’re
calling, what you’re doing …”. The song dwells on how this sinks in for that person, realising regrets and
accepting that life will never be the same.”
“This song with Black Water County came about very organically,” adds Hannah Greenwood, “when
Shan reached out to me a few months ago wondering if I would be keen to feature on one of their
forthcoming singles. I loved the song the first time I heard it, being a sucker for a ballad. It was great
fun getting involved and embellishing the harmonies and the outro and also being a part of the video.
Having worked with Zak Pinchin before, I knew the video would be great too!”
