Three more bands have been announced for the UK’s biggest metal festival, Bloodstock.

First band announced today are the Metal Allegiance. The line-up for this band is never fully known, but confirmed to show up on the day are Testament’s Alex Skolnick, Death Angel’s Mark Osegueda, Anthrax’s Scott Ian & Charlie Benante, Gary Holt from Slayer & Exodus, Mike Portnoy of Twisted Sister and the leader of the Metal Allegiance, Mark Menghi. Bloodstock marks the debut festival on British shores for the band and Mike Portnoy says that Bloodstock is “the perfect audience to share this brotherhood of metal with”. There may be a few more additions to the band but you’ve got to be there on the day to find out!

Atlanta rap-metal outfit Stuck Mojo are also joining the bill. The band have been working on a new album with producer Andy Sneap after reforming in 2014. The band are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their second album ‘Pigwalk’ and you can check the video for the title song HERE. Keep up to date with the band on Facebook HERE.

The headliners of the Sophie Lancaster stage for the Friday night are Goatwhore. The New Orleans bunch are in the process of working on a new album that will hopefully be dropping by the end of the year! Check out the video for their song ‘Bearing Teeth In Revolt’ HERE for an example of some of the brutal metal that will be performed on the first night of the festival. Keep up to date with the band on their website HERE.

Bands already announced for the festival:

Headliners: Twisted Sister (playing their last ever UK show), Mastodon and Slayer.

Plus Behemoth, Gojira, Anthrax, Fear Factory, Symphony X, Satyricon, Paradise Lost, Dragonforce, Rotting Christ, Venom and Acid Reign.

Tickets are already on sale now and include VIP upgrades starting at £139 (plus booking fee) HERE. Also available are the deposit scheme tickets (for standard tickets only), in which you pay small amounts for your ticket over five months before the festival (providing you purchase before 29 February). Click HERE to sign up for the deposit scheme!

Bloodstock is held 11-14th August 2016  at Catton Park, Derbyshire. Check the festival FACEBOOK, TWITTER or WEBSITE to keep up to date with the latest news.
