Brighton’s rising alt-rock trio, Bones Ate Arfa, have unleashed their electrifying new single, ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’—a track that perfectly captures their high-energy fusion of alt-rock and punk, infused with unexpectedly catchy vocal hooks. The single is the latest teaser from their upcoming EP, Just Bananas, set for release on April 22nd.

With their momentum on a steady climb, Bones Ate Arfa have recently surpassed 120k followers on TikTok and teamed up with skatewear brand Wasted Paris. The band is gearing up for a UK tour throughout April and early May, bringing their dynamic live presence to fans nationwide.

‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ kicks off with an unrelenting burst of energy, driven by fast-paced drumming and distorted guitar and bass tones. The song embodies the raw intensity that has made the trio a must-see act, while also revealing a pop-punk undertone that contrasts with the heavier instrumentation, making their sound both unpredictable and refreshingly hard to categorize.

Speaking about the track, bassist and vocalist Arthur “Arfa” Wilson describes it as “a silly pop song about love,” adding, “There’s not much more to it than that really. We recorded it with our mate Kevin Vanbergen, who really brought the song to life in the studio. It sounds crazy, and that’s exactly what we were after.”

Guitarist Sonny “Bones” Whittington admits he was initially skeptical about the track’s live appeal, stating, “I didn’t even really like playing it live until we recorded it. I thought Arfa was losing his edge.” Meanwhile, drummer Herbie “8” Wilson notes the influence of modern punk bands like Bad Nerves and Wine Lips on the track’s instrumentation: “Playing the drums on it is a workout and a half.”

The trio—comprising Bones (guitar), 8 (drums), and Arfa (vocals & bass)—have quickly made a name for themselves on the UK’s southeastern gig circuit, earning national recognition across press and radio. Their unique blend of psychedelic-street-punk-desert-rock has garnered praise from high-profile fans, including Muse, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Isaac Holman (SOFT PLAY), Royal Blood, Tigercub, cool sorcery, Demob Happy, and Bad Nerves.

As they prepare to hit the road in support of Just Bananas, Bones Ate Arfa continue to prove why they’re one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands in the UK right now.
