Amping up for their free-entry 10-date UK run – The Death Pledge: Something For Nothing tour kicking off in March, Chuggaboom have released their own version of Sum 41’s Fat Lip.

Seizing the opportunity to pay homage to the Canadian punk legends, consider this release an official Chuggaboom™ invitation to the upcoming tour.

Levi Taurus says: “Growing up with “All Killer No Filler” as the soundtrack of our collective childhoods, when the opportunity came to reimagine a classic like Fat Lip, we needed the right motive and the right lyrics. Written to promote our Free Entry UK tour in March ’23 – supporting fans who may otherwise not be able to afford to go to a show, with the chance to enjoy themselves to live music during the cost of living crisis.”

Announcing The Death Pledge: Something For Nothing Free Entry Tour earlier this month, Chuggaboom explained the idea behind their tour: The cost of living is rising for all of us and by working in partnership with some of the UK’s most generous venues, everybody is invited to the “Something for Nothing” tour. This tour is built on the ethos of giving something back to the fans, allowing everyone the opportunity to witness “The Greatest Metalcore Band on Earth” perform some of their greatest hits FOR FREE.

The “Something for Nothing” tour is a commitment from us to the fans and the wider scene to acknowledge the importance of live music, while showcasing the joy it can bring at a time of such hardship.“

In early November 2022, masked metalcore mob Chuggaboom released their long-awaited follow-up to 2021’s ‘Zodiac Re-arrest’ album – ‘Death Pledge’ via Dead Serious Recordings. Loaded with gnarly riffs and snarling absurdity, the new album from the UK-based enigmas was welcomed by the likes of Metal Hammer, Distorted Sound, Rock Sound and more. Enjoying over 10 million Spotify streams, over 3 million TikTok views and 2.5 million Youtube channel views, the Chuggalo family is growing.

Death Pledge is a spectacular addition to Chuggaboom’s already impressive back catalogue which boasts 5 EPs, 2 albums and several cover songs. Have you ever wanted to hear a metalcore version of Bohemian Rhapsody or Ariana Grande? Chuggaboom have got you covered. Finding inspiration and madness in 2020, the band recorded and released “Chugg Wars: The Covid-19 Saga” EP and their mammoth 22-track ‘Christmas Number Ones’ album that landed at #3 in the iTunes UK Metal Albums chart.

Drawing upon a wide range of influences including Upon A Burning Body, Devin Townsend, Funeral For A Friend and Attack Attack, Chuggaboom fuse in their own unapologetic attitude. There’s so much more to come from this band – become a Chuggalo or get left behind!
