2017 looks like it’s going to be a big year for Liverpool indie rockers Circa Waves. Their second album ‘Different Creatures’ is out via Virgin EMI on March 10th next year, and they’ve announced a 12 date headline tour to follow in April.
Ahead of it all, lead track ‘Wake Up’ was revealed last week as Annie Mac grabbed it as her hottest record on Radio 1. It’s full of rough hewn, fuzzed out guitars, as it glistens and glitters underneath Kieran Shudall’s vocals and melodies, as they show they’re stadium ready as well. The album was co-produced by Alan Moulder (Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins) and has led then band down a louder, more muscular route, finding their way somewhere between the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age.
