AFTER a brace of luscious albums in the latter half of last year, Umoja and Arrogance Is The Death Of Men (check out our reviews here and here, respectively), Will Dorsey, aka Skinshape, is throwing open the curtains on 2021 with his very first Instagram live performance tomorrow, Thursday, January 14th, at 7pm Central European Time (that’s 6pm in the UK).
The show is part of an initiative by La Blogòtheque, the online live music filming experts who have been presenting Takeaway Shows since 2006; what with everything ‘rona, this new series has been entitled the Stay Away Shows.
La Blogòtheque say they want their community and all music lovers to have access to their favourite artists and discover new talents during this difficult period.
Skinshape’s albums from 2020 took Will’s trademark languid, reverb-swathed guitar style in differing directions: from the love letter to African guitar music of Umoja, to the more personal and European pandemic diaries and instrumentals of Arrogance Is The Death Of Men.
