New (indie/alt-pop) kids on the block, Swedens Tiki & The Hotstuff have opened their account with debut single, ‘Hey Kid’, and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia today.
Mixing up a bucketload of styles, with these gentle synth-indie chords and splashes of cascading electronics, with this clean alt-pop production, and rapped verses, it flits from one thing to another, while still managing to pull everything together as a whole. That’s largely due to the flow and melodies Tiki throws in there, with Hey Kids having just about the most catchy chorus imaginable.
