Following the announcement of their highly anticipated 3rd album ‘To The Earth’, Mercury-nominated British Jazz super-group Dinosaur return with their new single ‘Mosking’. The new track is the first to be released from the new album, which is out on Edition Records this May.

Mosking is a wonderfully chaotic and playful piece we have come to know from these guys. Theres plenty of room for all the instruments to take centre stage with some clever call and response going on between members. “….a collection of joyfully crafted melodies, which we can dive into and explore as improvisers.” Laura Jurd explains about the new music.

Mosking displays this improvising and there is hiding the fact these guys are extremely talented musicians. The tumble down bass and the bizarre animal type noises opening this improv sets the scene for the fun to come. The track continues with various percussive noises and interloping melodies with the track building into a wonderful jam. Each listen gives new surprises. I have no doubt ‘To The Earth’ will be on my turntable for a while when its released in May.

Check it out, here.
