Dublin alt-rockers Empathy share the new single ‘Miles Away’.
A striking, dark and intense single that captures a atmospheric grunge feel through its repeated guitar riff, sparse vocals and glowing production. Across its near 7 minutes the track captures a sense of anticipation and angst, sitting somewhere between Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden.
The band’s third release of the year, Empathy’s signature blend of gritty lyricism and musical maturity is striking throughout. On the track’s themes, the band explains, “Miles Away describes the alienation and loneliness endured by a person who strives for success no matter what it costs them. They serve themselves but mislead those with open hearts.”
With a reputation for electrifying live performances, the band has sold out renowned venues such as The Academy and The Button Factory. Now, they set their sights on making an even greater impact with new studio material slated for 2025.
