With so many festivals in the summer calendar, it can be hard to gauge which ones are going to be the most interesting. It’s even tougher if you’ve already parted with your hard earned cash, before a single band has been confirmed. It’s at that point where a festival’s reputation comes into it’s own. It’s about trusting the organisers based on previous line-ups. Every year Green Man sells out and usually on the day tickets first go on sale. A boutique festival, nestling in the Welsh hills near Crickhowell, it is now in it’s 20th year and has steadily evolved since it’s humble beginnings back in 2003, when it was just a 1 day affair, with 300 people attending. Now, its further mutated from 2 to 3 days and a capacity of around 25,000.

Last years headliners included Kraftwerk, Metronomy, Beach House, Bicep and Michael Kiwanuka, ably supported by the likes of Dry Cleaning, Viagra Boys, The Murder Capital, Public Service Broadcasting, Black Country, New Road, Ezra Furman, and Dream Wife.

The 2023 line-up is looking to eclipse that, with 1 headliner and another 30 acts still be to announced.

Headliners Devo stop in on their Farewell World Tour. Spiritualized, First Aid Kit, Amyl & The Sniffers, 90’s showgaze legends, Slowdive, The Walkmen, Warmduscher, Confidence Man, Goat, Bob Vylan, Billy Nomates, Crows, The Bug Club and Squid, are already confirmed too.

Now the bad news. It’s completely sold out! Green Man’s reputation cashing it’s trust chips again!!
