News: HEALTH to bring Rat-Infused Warfare Tour to Australia

In 2023, the enigmatic trio known as HEALTH, renowned for their fusion of noise rock and industrial metal, made a triumphant and long-awaited return to Australia. They performed at Dark Mofo and a select few additional shows before heading back to Los Angeles to gear up for the release of their seventh full-length album, ‘Rat Wars.’ This album marks a significant point in their evolution, having transitioned into a heavier sound over the past few records. ‘Rat Wars’ is a dystopian, erotically charged fever dream that represents HEALTH at their most refined, following years of collaboration, experimentation, and the cultivation of a dedicated fan base that actively engages in the band’s vibrant online community.

Accompanying them on all tour dates is the Brisbane-based artist Zheani, whose ascent in the music industry has been notably rapid in recent years. While she is often labeled a rapper, this designation only partially captures the diverse and intense blend of hip-hop, metal, industrial, synth-pop, emo, and hardcore influences that characterize her innovative music. Her unique style is further complemented by striking imagery, as showcased in her 2023 sophomore album, ‘The Spiritual Meat Grinder,’ and her 2024 single, ‘Spoils of War.’

Also joining the tour will be experimental drum & bass artist Joshua Wells (Nerve, AR53 Records) and extreme metal vocalist Karina Utomo (KILAT, Rinuwat, High Tension) present their latest duo performance as a new look at largely improvised electronic rhythms and exploratory voicing.
