Swedish post-metal heavyweights Katatonia will return to Australia for their first headline tour in nearly a decade. The band will be playing shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in February 2024.
Katatonia are known for their unique blend of progressive metal, doom metal, and alternative rock. The band was formed in Stockholm in 1991 by vocalist Jonas Renkse and guitarist Anders Nyström, who are also the main songwriters. Over the years, Katatonia has undergone several lineup changes, but Renkse and Nyström have remained the core members throughout the band’s history.
