News: Kompakt spreads its wings to Ibiza and Glastonbury this Summer – Full details

There’s not many things that legendary label Kompakt hasn’t done, but its going about filling any gaps in its impressive CV this summer. Its almost incredulous to think that a label that has been at the forefront on electronic music for so long hasn’t held a residency in Ibiza, but not only is it true, but its about to be rectified.

They’ve chosen quite a place to do it as well, in the form of legendary club Space Ibiza and Kehakuma. Co-owner of Kompakt, DJ Michael Mayer is going to grace the decks for a once a month party, starting June 18th on the Terrace. He says “We are excited to have this opportunity to team up with SPACE/KEHAKUMA to present TOTAL on the island this summer. We intentionally never did anything in Ibiza so far but Space have given us the opportunity to put together something we feel will be quite different than what typically happens on the island. We are very grateful to have been given this opportunity and to play alongside my label mates and friends this summer.”

Those label mates and friends include Blond:ish, Dauwd, Danny Daze, Gui Boratto and Kolsch, as well as friends such as Barem, Pachanga Boys as Miss Kitten.

Also in the schedule for the summer is a visit to the Beat Hotel within Glastonbury Festival for another first, a label showcase. In fact its the first time ever the label is having a showcase on British soil, and it will feature Mayer and two of the labels rising stars, Barnt and Dauwd. Sounds like it could be unmissable. Even at Glastonbury.
