The countdown is on as (we) punters prepare for the iconic 2025 Laneway Festival. With tickets already sold-out across Sydney and Melbourne, it’s a snatch-and-grab to catch some of the festivals biggest acts at their own headline shows. Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents are bringing Olivia Dean, Joey Valence & Brae, and julie to Australia for a series of exclusive headlining shows, offering fans a chance to experience these standout acts in more intimate venues.

UK powerhouse Olivia Dean will touch down in Australia and New Zealand, delivering the soulful pop she’s known for. The London-based artist, who broke through with her Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut album ‘Messy’ in 2023, brings a refreshingly candid approach to pop music. With lyrics that resonate for their honesty and warmth, Dean’s sound pairs perfectly with her laid-back, feel-good live performances. Fans can catch her at the Powerstation in Auckland, the Roundhouse in Sydney, and Melbourne’s Forum. Tickets here.

Wednesday, 5 February — Powerstation, Auckland
Tuesday, 11 February — Roundhouse, Sydney
Thursday, 13 February — Forum, Melbourne

Genre-bending beats and hyperpop energy Known for their DIY rise to stardom, Joey Valence & Brae (JVB) made waves with their viral hit ‘Double Jump’ and have since amassed millions of streams with their debut album, ‘PUNK TACTICS’. Fans should prepare for an explosive mix of beats and energy that crosses genres at Sydney’s Liberty Hall and Melbourne’s 170 Russell. Tickets here.

Monday, 10 February — Liberty Hall, Sydney
Wednesday, 12 February — 170 Russell, Melbourne

Art-Infused shoegaze meets grunge for those drawn to fuzzier sounds, Los Angeles’ julie is a must-see. Every element of their debut album ‘my anti-aircraft friend’ is self-made, from the music to the visual art, showcasing their approach as much more than a band—it’s a project. Tickets here.

Thursday, 13 February — Factory Theatre, Sydney
Saturday, 15 February — Corner Hotel, Melbourne
