Hailing from Hyderabad, India, and now based in Los Angeles, California, electronic producer Kiwiani shares the sprawling new single ‘Close’.
With a distinctive sound that merges ethereal downtempo, chill freeform, and trap, Kiwiani’s sound shifts between moments of ambient bliss, and others of driving, punchy EDM. The new single ‘Close’ is a prime example of this, opening with a wash of distant vocal samples and ethereal synths, the track soon introduces a unexpectedly poppy lead vocal as the beats gradually pick up the anti through metallic synths and a punching kick. Accompanied by deep fuzzy bass, swells of strings and synth and the continues background ambience, the track is transporting and otherworldly through its rich and experimental production.
Kiwiani’s ascent in the electronic music scene has been meteoric, with his music featured on major platforms like Spotify’s All New Dance and Bass Arcade, and Apple Music’s Unwind and Chilling Out playlists. To date, his work has amassed over 5 million streams globally, and airplay on BBC Radio 1.
