Everything But The Girl are back with Blue Reservoir, their eleventh studio album, arriving on 19 February 2027. The British duo have also released its first single, Young And Dumb, alongside a new music video.
Following their acclaimed 2023 comeback album Fuse, Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt are changing direction again, swapping much of the electronic production for the stripped-back guitars and intimate songwriting that defined their early years.
The shift follows their unexpected return to live performance in 2025, when the pair played a sold-out residency at London’s tiny 300-capacity MOTH Club. Those shows, their first together in more than two decades, rekindled an approach built around little more than guitar, voice and a handful of musicians.
Watt subsequently picked up a Spanish nylon-string guitar, which became central to the writing of Blue Reservoir. The album’s ten tracks were recorded largely live over just ten days at London’s RAK Studios, with contributions from longtime collaborators Rex Horan and Evan Jenkins.
There’s a family connection too, with the couple’s son Blake Watt appearing on two tracks.
More than four decades after forming in 1982, Everything But The Girl are still finding new ways to work together. After the electronic textures of Fuse, Blue Reservoir looks set to put their songwriting firmly back in the spotlight.
Blue Reservoir arrives on 19 February 2027 via Buzzin’ Fly.
