News: Lewis Capaldi Announces Long-Awaited Australia & NZ Tour

After a two-year break from the spotlight, Lewis Capaldi is set to make a long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand later this year. The Scottish singer-songwriter will tour across Christchurch, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in November and December, marking his first visit to the region since Falls Festival 2019/20.

The comeback follows a powerful Glastonbury set last month, where Capaldi delivered a stripped-back yet emotional performance featuring “Someone You Loved”, “Before You Go” and his new single “Survive” — a reunion with Someone You Loved co-writer Romans.

Fans who held tickets to Capaldi’s cancelled 2023 tour will have early access from 11am Thursday 10 July until 11am Monday 14 July (local time). Secret Sounds presale opens Friday 11 July, and general tickets go on sale Monday 14 July at 12pm local time via secretsounds.com.

Capaldi’s return comes after a series of intimate warm-up shows in Scotland in May in support of mental health charity CALM. These shows, which aimed to ease him back into performing, were his first public gigs since stepping back from touring to prioritise his health.

His 2023 album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent hit No.1 in the UK and produced chart-toppers “Forget Me”, “Pointless” and “Wish You The Best”, with production from Max Martin, Malay and Phil Plested. The album outsold his own debut’s first-week sales and topped airplay charts globally.

Capaldi’s GRAMMY®-nominated Netflix documentary How I’m Feeling Now gave fans a vulnerable insight into his life during his meteoric rise — and proved a massive streaming success.

After weathering burnout and retreating from public life, Capaldi’s return feels like a quiet triumph.
