London Indie-Rockers Depression, Baby, return with their new single single ‘Too Sick.’ Riding high on a wave of critical acclaim after their previous hit ‘In My Blood,’ the band are slowly building anticipation for their upcoming EP, ‘So What?’

Known for their electrifying live performances that have sold out headline shows across the UK, Depression, Baby continues to build fervent excitement around their unique sound. With ‘Too Sick,’ they deliver an indie soundscape that is both tight and infectious, skillfully infused with a warming sense of melancholy.

Produced by the talented Ben Beheshty, who has worked with artists such as Nilufer Yanya, Blanco White, and Fred Wave, ‘Too Sick’ boasts layers of crunchy guitar tones, driving drums, and a grounding bass, reminiscent of The Strokes’ sonic palette. The track’s growling, elegantly relaxed, and effortlessly cool vocal delivery serves as its earworm central hook.

As the song progresses into a swaying, affecting chorus, Depression, Baby introduces gorgeous vocal harmonies that add an ethereal undertone, contrasting with the song’s boxy verses. ‘Too Sick’ culminates in a fittingly euphoric and explosive guitar solo, leaving listeners in awe.

Speaking about the track, the band explained, “Too Sick is a song about letting your partner down in your relationship and not being able to do anything about it. Seeing yourself lose the battle with mental health and it affecting people you love is a pain like no other. You’re already suffering, and now you feel like you’re dragging them down with you.”

The band’s thoughtful approach to their music extends to the themes they tackle in their lyrics. They aim to balance the exploration of difficult topics with a high-energy vibe to offer solidarity to their listeners.

Formed in late 2019, Depression, Baby has rapidly earned a reputation as one of the best live acts in the country. Their unique blend of driving guitars, noisy synths, and melancholic melodies has earned them recognition across Spotify playlists and tastemaker press.

With ‘Too Sick’ setting the stage, Depression, Baby is poised to achieve even greater milestones as they continue to leave an indelible mark on the indie-rock scene.
