Track: Hamburg outfit Mint Mind Release the glorious shoegaze shuffle of Glow

We love Tapete Records here at Backseat Mafia. Don’t even get me started on the injustice that The Elephants weren’t massive. And they’ve another winner on their hands here in the form of Hamburg based indie rock outfit Mind Mind, and their new single Glow.

It’s taken from the bands forthcoming third album ‘VG+’, out on November was written, recorded and mixed by Tocotromic Rick McPhail at his Upper Room studio. According to the band, Glow is a song ‘about how even in the roughest of times we still we the one’s we love as they once were’, and ‘remembering the beautiful moments give us the strength and optimism to fight on’.

Is has all the wistfulness and glorious melodic nature of some of the best shoegaze, as the band adventure through the genre, surrounded by swirls of guitar and echoey backing vocals with a dollop of synth thrown into the mix to give a Disintergration era Cure feel about the whole thing. It’s to its credit that it would sound out of place sat in that very bands cannon.

Check out the track and it’s psychedelic looking video, here
