Leeds-based duo Lucky Iris has returned with their latest electronic masterpiece, ‘Blowing Kisses,’ released on July 7th. The track serves as a tantalizing preview of their upcoming EP, ‘Maybe I’m Too Much,’ set to drop on August 11th. Delving into the intricacies of love and friendships, the duo showcases their signature alt-pop sound in this eagerly awaited project.

Known for their distinctive musical style, Lucky Iris has carved a niche for themselves with lyrics described as a “cotton-candy kick in the face.” Their infectious, multi-faceted soundscapes possess the power to make listeners dance or shed a tear.

Comparisons to School of Seven Bells are inevitable, but Lucky Iris brings a fresh-faced, youthful energy to the table. ‘Blowing Kisses’ immerses the audience in a vibrant, ethereal universe of glitching electronics, punctuated by vocal samples and driving electronic drums. A wave of vibrant analog synths envelops the listener, creating an irresistible sonic tapestry.

Front and center, the silky, breathy lead vocals take flight, delivering a melancholic yet shimmering allure. The delicate delivery and infectious melodic hooks of the track’s central hook effortlessly captivate the listener. ‘Blowing Kisses’ was written and produced by the talented duo themselves, and with the mixing expertise of Richard Wilkinson (known for his work with Adele and Kaiser Chiefs) and mastering by Antony Ryan (Oh Wonder), the track adds another ethereal gem to Lucky Iris’ growing catalogue.

Prepare to be swept away by Lucky Iris’ latest creation as they unveil their enchanting new single, ‘Blowing Kisses.’ Stay tuned for the release of ‘Maybe I’m Too Much’ on August 11th, as Lucky Iris continues to impress with their unique blend of alt-pop magic.
