The Swedish rock-icons Mando Diao keep on rockin’ 20 plus years down the line and are more motivated and active than ever before. Just working on their latest studio album in English ”Boblikovs Magical World” which took them to all the main festivals during the past two summer and generated the top radio smash-hits ”Frustration” as well as the German Rock Radio No 1 ”Get It On”.
About to go on a European tour that starts end of November and take the band to cities in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Holland, UK and France. The group was recently asked to write the official theme-song for the brand new Sky + TV drama that opens up across GSA on December 7th, 2023.
It’s for ”Boom Boom Bruno”, about a cop. Only not just average day cop. The district cowboy. Everything here is under his control. His criminals, his hookers, his boss. He is thrilled with his new partner Mark – it’s up to him to teach this insecure boy to be a real man with balls. When a drag queen is found dead on his turf, however, both Bruno and Mark must fight their own prejudices and meet resistance coming from all sides to solve the case. Starring Franz Hartwig, Ben Becker and Sabrina Ceesay etc. Mando Diao delivers their usual high octane dose of rock & roll packed with energy and attitude to fit the vibe of the show.

In other news: On November 17th, 2023 Mando Diao will release the concert album “MTV Unplugged-EfterSolnedgången”. Recorded in early summer 2022 it shows Mando Diao taking the stage in the old Skeppsholmchurch, opposite the royal palace in Stockholm, for an exclusive and intimate MTV Unplugged concert. In addition to playing the Swedish songs, the concert also featured appearances from special guests AneBrun, Kristofer Greczula, Veera Pykköand Jacqline Mos
