Metallica is dragging the heaviest metal spectacle on earth down under, cementing its legacy with a six-city sweep across Australia and New Zealand as part of their M72 World Tour in November 2025. The band have reimagined the stadium experience, throwing fans into a 360-degree concert vortex, with performances at opposite ends of the arena and the infamous Snake Pit slicing right into the heart of the stage.

This isn’t just for the casual listener—the die-hards know the game. The “I Disappear” pass, allows ticket holders to chase the tour across six dates, locking in a near-mythical odyssey of mosh pits and soaring solos from Perth to Auckland. Adding fuel to the fire, premium upgrades include backstage tours, meet-and-greets, early entry, and the indulgence of the “Black Box” lounge. Think of it as heavy metal haute couture.

Opening duties for these antipodean dates will be split between the ever-dramatic Evanescence and punk-infused thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies—a mashup destined to take the crowd on a whiplash-inducing journey between goth theatrics and fist-pumping, old-school hardcore.

It’s an all-in event, with travel packages and hotel deals in tow for the truly committed, because this is a pilgrimage. Tickets hit the market at 12 PM local time on Monday, November 4th. Better set your alarms. Metallica waits for no one.

I wish I were at Eden Park for this. Might just have to consider moving back to NZ just to see them there.
