After more than six years away, Of Monsters and Men will return to Australia in May 2026 for The Mouse Parade Tour, presented by Frontier Touring and Chugg Entertainment.

The run begins at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on 17 May, followed by Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall. It coincides with the band’s first full-length release in six years, All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, issued at the end of 2025.

Formed in Reykjavík, the band first broke through internationally with 2011’s My Head Is an Animal. Breakout single ‘Little Talks’ went on to accumulate more than a billion streams and placed at #2 in the 2012 Triple J Hottest 100, establishing Of Monsters and Men as one of the defining indie exports of the early 2010s. Subsequent albums Beneath the Skin and Fever Dream expanded their sound, balancing folk foundations with more expansive, textured production.

After a period of solo and side projects, the group reconvened for All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade, a record shaped around the tension between intimacy and conflict. The album reflects on how love and pain coexist rather than compete — a theme that feels aligned with a band revisiting its own history while looking forward.

The 2026 shows will see the new album performed in full for the first time in Australia, alongside selected material from across their catalogue. Known for layered instrumentation and dual vocal interplay, their live sets have historically leaned into atmosphere rather than spectacle.

Joining the tour is Gordi. The Australian artist, whose catalogue spans Reservoir and the critically regarded Our Two Skins, has previously toured with the band during their 2016 Australian run. She begins 2026 with the release of her latest single ‘High Line’ and will complete her own headline dates before supporting Of Monsters and Men nationally.

Frontier Members can access a presale from 23 February, with general tickets available from 24 February.
