Peter Hook & The Light are set to embark on a special UK tour this April, performing New Order’s 2001 album Get Ready in full for the first time. The tour will also feature a selection of classic tracks from Joy Division and New Order’s extensive back catalogue. In addition to the headline shows, the band has confirmed appearances at eight UK and Irish festivals throughout the spring and summer.

Reflecting on Get Ready, Peter Hook said:

“Get Ready was a honeymoon record. Looking back now it was very enjoyable to make, and I think is massively underrated. It did sort the wheat from the chaff and led to a New Order mk2 which played better but had lost a naivety whilst gaining a maturity. Barney and I became a ‘power couple’ in Manchester during the making of the record but, sadly, the old problems recurred when we came to play live. The writing was on the wall from then on. The two of us worked very hard to make this a great record and I think we succeeded. I am looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which have never been played live before. The Light will shine through … Get Ready!”

“Get Ready” UK Tour Dates

The tour marks a significant moment for the band, with their biggest headline show to date in Manchester at the 3,500-capacity O2 Victoria Warehouse. It will also be their first show in the city in two years. Other dates include London’s Troxy and Bristol’s Marble Factory.

• Thu 17 April – Bristol – Marble Factory (Get Ready album in full)

• Fri 18 April – London – Troxy (Get Ready album in full)

• Sat 19 April – Manchester – O2 Victoria Warehouse (Get Ready album in full)

Festival Appearances

Following the Get Ready tour, Peter Hook & The Light will play a series of UK and Irish festivals, including Shiine On, Chilfest, Forest Fest, Rebellion, and Solfest.

• Sat 29 March – Skegness – Shiine On Festival

• Sat 10 May – Scarborough – Interzone Festival

• Sat 5 July – Tring – Chilfest

• Sat 26 July – County Laois – Forest Fest

• Fri 8 August – Durham – Stone Valley North Festival

• Sat 9 August – Blackpool – Rebellion Festival

• Sat 23 August – Cumbria – Solfest

• Sun 24 August – Warwickshire – Camper Calling Festival

A Legacy of Touring

The announcement follows an extensive year of touring in 2024, which saw Peter Hook & The Light perform across Australia, New Zealand, South America, North America, and the UK. Their previous tour featured full performances of Substance by both Joy Division and New Order.

Hook first revisited Unknown Pleasures in 2010 for a special charity concert and has since performed the full discographies of Joy Division and New Order, including Closer, Movement, Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life, Brotherhood, Technique, Republic, and Substance.

Now, as the band moves on to Get Ready, fans can expect a setlist featuring songs that have never been performed live before. With nearly 900 shows under their belt, Peter Hook & The Light continue to bring their celebrated catalogue to audiences worldwide.
