Teenage Dads, currently touring UK, Ireland & Europe, have unveiled a science fiction-inspired new single ‘Speedracer’, and the announcement of a huge 30-stop national headline tour across Australia & New Zealand over August – September of this year, playing to their biggest venues to date.

‘Speedracer’ is a louche, funky track that seems to be imbued with a sunny ambulant disposition, replete with pattering rhythms that recalls Talking Heads and vocals that evoke bleached white sands and waving palm trees. The band says of the track:

In reference to the 1967 anime and 2008 film, “Speedracer” is the person that sends your heart racing at a 1000 miles per hour without a second thought.

It’s a track that glides through the ether with a nonchalant style:

Out through Chugg Music, you can download and stream the single here.
